Key points to remember are:

Move slowly in the water with minimal splashing and refrain from talking where possible-although you may feel like shouting for joy at seeing a turtle, you don’t want to scare it away!
Leave a clear path for the turtle to get to the surface for their next breath- never swim directly above the turtle.
Keep your distance and approach calmly from the side – your encounter will be much longer if the turtles are not frightened.
NEVER EVER chase or attempt to touch turtles.

The turtles are the stars of the show on this excursion; you will also be swimming amongst and abundance of tropical reef fish with the possibility of rays and larger species of fish too.

However, the fun is not over yet, and then will enter the heart of the Mayan jungle to swim in one of most beautiful cenotes, an experienced guide will explain about the rock formations and the magic of the cenotes. At the end of this impressive experience, we will take you to our typical restaurant for enjoying a delicious typical Maya meal. Where you can cool down with refreshing drinks of your choice.

What do you need to know before you book?

We don’t recommend participation in any snorkel activity if you have respiratory problems, injuries, back/neck issues, heart conditions or conditions that can cause loss of consciousness.

Although we view sea turtles on a very consistent basis we are unable to fully guarantee their presence. As these are wild animals, they can freely come and go from our designated snorkeling area. In any case, you will surely have a special experience.
